A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

To say the least we were very spoiled this year for christmas.
Trev's big present was an iphone.
On my wish list were those reebock easytone shoes that supposedly tone your butt and thighs (cross your fingers...i'll let you know how they work.) I also got my all-time favorite gift that will never get old. A facial. :)
This was Trev's valiant attempt on trying to wrap my present...lets face it is not one of his talents, but I appreciate him taking the time to wrap my present. He was downstairs trying to wrap this for about a half an hour
Gifts from our families included rockband, leather jacket (for me), sport coat (for trev), super nice backpacking gear, flight and hotel to arizona (i'll explain later), well needed odds and ends, and gift cards. Thanks moms, dads, grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings!

We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas...well, maybe except for not having to throw up all night. Of course our first Christmas night together we were sick. Trev was feeling a little sick earlier on Christmas and when we got home the poor guy threw up. Only after saying I didn't even remember the last time I had thrown up did I feel a little quezzy and join my husband's sick state. It must have been a 24 hour virus or something because the next day we were fine. Gotta love our great luck!

New Years Eve was spent with a few of our good friends Logan and Lisa and Matt and Amy. We went to Tepanyaki and Sherlock Holmes. Not your typical New Year's Eve celebration but we had a good time together.

A couple months ago I told Trevor he could buy a motorcycle, but when he brought it home and told me how much it had cost I made him take it back. Typical woman who can't make up her mind, I know. To make it up to him I bought tickets to the Green Bay Packers vs. Arizona Cardinals football game in Arizona. We couldn't have asked for a better time to make a trip to Arizona. What a well needed WARM vacation from the cold weather!

We went to the Phoneix Zoo (which, by the way, is SO much better than the Hoggle Zoo).

Went to dinner with Trev's mission companion.

Visited the Mesa temple.

Just hung out and relaxed.

And of course, went to the game. Trev was like a little kid going to Disneyland for the first time. (For those of you who don't know Trev is a HUGE football fan.)

It was fun to get away and spend time together without the hustle and bustle of real life.

A weekend full of fun

It was a girls night on Friday night and we went and saw Princess and the Frog. Love it!!! You can never go wrong with a Disney princess movie.

My cheerleaders had their first competition on Saturday...we took first place! Yahoo, we were pretty stoked!

We also went and saw the Forgotten Carols on Saturday night. A running tradition in my family. The music is so powerful. It really gets you thinking about the true meaning of Christmas.

On Sunday the girls made some Christmas candy. Yum. Divinity, carmel, fudge, and peanut brittle.

Poor Trev was stuck in the other room studying for finals the whole night though. :( Hang in there...you're almost done.

We did it!

If any of you are wondering...we survived! The girls looked great!
HUGE sigh of relief.
We still have things to work on, but things can only go up from here. :)

Complete and total stress

As I mentioned in my previous post, the woman that I coach with (aka my boss at Elite) had her baby yesterday. So that leaves me in charge of all three competitive cheerleading teams. Nothing I couldn't handle...so I thought.

Steph's younger team who is usually amazing had THE roughest practice last night. Usually not a big deal, everyone has a bad practice once in awhile, except for the fact they are performing tomorrow. I was so frustrated last night and feel bad that I made the girls frustrated too. I can't help but think it was me that made them look so awful.

Even though there is nothing I can do about it now except hope for the best I still am stressing, BIG TIME! I couldn't sleep last night because I was up all night thinking about that darn routine and this morning I have a crazy headache...carried over from last night.

Everyone say a little prayer and cross your fingers that the girls can get through their routine tomorrow and that I don't get an ulcer in the meantime.

Look what I made...

The cute woman I coach with is having her baby boy tomorrow. I made these onesies for her and I am surprisingly happy with the way they turned out!

It's about time!

Project Runway. Heard of it? Love it! Trevor likes it too (even though he wont admit it).
Meet Christopher...
Loved Christopher at the beginning of the season. He designed some incredible pieces!(made out of newspaper)

But...as Heidi Klum says it "One day your in, and the next day your out."
Well, one day Christopher bombed it
and continued to really bomb it (for 5 plus weeks in a row)
and week after week great designers were kicked off because, for some reason, the judges decided to keep him.
Last night justice was finally served! No more Christopher! He got the boot and I couldn't be happier. :)
"Auf wiedersehen" Christopher!

This is Halloween

This year Trevor was the vampire and I was the vampire slayer. We made quite the pair. We had a blast putting together our costumes together
What a bummer this holiday is over, but we are getting pumped up for the next one... THANKSGIVING!
